On Friday, the Head of the British Diplomatic Services will make an official visit to Belize.
He's Sir Simon McDonald, the Permanent Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. As the head of the British Diplomatic Service, he's on a regional tour of countries including Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
A press release from the office of the British High Commission says that his visit will reaffirm the warm UK ties with Belize, as well as providing the opportunity to discuss a wide range of international issues such as illegal wildlife trade, regional stability, clean oceans, and BREXIT.
He has meetings scheduled with the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister, the Leader of the Opposition, the Organization of American States, BATSUB and a number of chief executive officers.

He departs Belize on September 1st.
