Fire Leaves Family of 7 Homeless

A family of 7 was burnt out of house and home this morning when a fire ripped through their residence in Burrell Boom village. Witnesses say no one was inside the small 20 by 20 wooden house when it caught fire shortly after 11 this morning. Reports are that the blaze quickly devoured both the house and its contents. The house was home to George Stewart and his common-law wife along with their 5 children. The children who range in ages from 5 to 12 were at a nearby pool swimming when the blaze started. Their father was at work and their mother was out looking for work. All 7 are homeless tonight and anyone with assistance can reach the family at 608-4547. The house and its contents were valued at $2,000 and neither was insured.
