A couple of months ago the Belize national soft ball selection returned home as the golden girls when they returned home with the gold medal and tonight another team is returning in glory of a lesser degree. Making their way into the country this evening is Belize's selection of an under 19 female softball team that over the weekend participated in the Under 19 juvenile tournament for Central American countries. At the end of it Belize came up with the bronze medal but in a twist of events was awarded the silver medal. This occurred after the matchup between the top two contenders Guatemala and El Salvador ended up with Guatemala leaving the playing field. They were then disqualified from the tournament and the silver defaulted to Belize. The team of 19 young ladies is managed by Raymond Garbutt with Delcy Lizama and Leslie Rogers being the coaches.
