The BDF will probably be a part of the stepped up patrols. And today the Minister was at Price Barracks assessing the needs and the policy direction of Belize’s army. He told us he has visited the police, immigration, and now the BDF – and the needs are basically the same.

“In the two or three days I have been finding not only for the Belize Defense Force but for the Police Force, Immigration, and tomorrow I will visit the Coast Guard. But for the three that I have visited so far, it appears that the perennial problem of upkeep of buildings, upkeep of training, equipment, transport is some of the top issues because without those, we can’t function properly in these kinds of services to the people.”
Perdomo will next visit the Coast Guard.
