Don't call it 'quitar' but the Ministry of Natural Resources is making moves against what Dean Barrow used to call the “compincheros” – which is Spanish for cronies. The Ministry of Natural Resources today sent out a release warning the public that the Ministry has issued letters of caution for specific parcels of land in Caribbean Shores.

The letters are to the property owners, warning them not to transact or develop these lots pending an assessment of the validity of tenure. And the release also warns the public not to buy any of those pieces of land. So who’s the unlucky owner? Well, the Ministry’s CEO was unavailable for comment today but our sources tell us that those parcels were sold to former PUP politicians in the month before elections.

And also of note from the Natural Resources Ministry is the announcement that the issuance of all land title and lease hold documents have been suspended until March 14th while these departments are assessed.
