DPP: Case Closed on David Fonseca

And when the UDP meets one thing that's sure to come up is a letter DPP Kirk Anderson sent to the court yesterday. In it, Anderson tells the council, case closed on the David Fonseca matter. The UDP council alleged that the past PUP Mayor had failed to account for $218,000. In his letter, Anderson explains that what he calls the vast majority of money that had been taken by Fonseca has been reimbursed to the council.

In late March Fonseca committed to pay $218,000 by the end of July. That covers one sum for salary advances, but at the time, there was another $155,000 in social assistance money, which was also not accounted for.
