The PUP leadership went on a one week retreat at Caye Chapel, and now the UDP is going on a one day workshop, at Old Belize. Kinda like the difference between going to the mall in Chetumal or the market in Melchor, but the UDP isn't apologizing for its modest plan. Party leader Dean Barrow today told us that on Saturday, party executives from across the country will converge on Old Belize at mile three on the Western Highway.
And while the PUP had high-priced international guru Tony Quinn, the UDP will have Manuel Esquivel. He will facilitate sessions along with Perla Perdomo and Dennis Jones. Those sessions will deal with the campaign plan of action, debt restructuring and conduct in public life. The party will also decide on its new national campaign manager and discuss a national tour for leader Barrow and his deputy Gaspar Vega.
The event will last just one day, but will run for 12 hours.
