Last night we told you about the National Assembly's plan to introduce a video camera system to capture house and senate meetings for the free use of the public and the press. The idea is to put to an end to all the jostling between media houses for very limited floor space - and let everyone get hassle free, high quality digital recordings of the event, or streamed iterations.

But, it may sound a little too hassle-free, and many have asked us - who will be controlling that feed? Because if it is government workers, history shows that they tend to press the pause button or the stop button when things get too hot in the House.

Our Jules Vasquez raised that issue with the clerk of the National Assembly yesterday at the very poorly attended meeting with the media in Belmopan. Here's how the exchange went:

The press would still be permitted to freely operate their cameras in the house after this system is introduced. A meeting has been set for next week Tuesday.
