In Lucky Strike Village out on the old Northern road, a group of villagers have simply seized upon a 20 acre plot of land that had been left abandoned. The Chairman says the land has been sitting dormant and overgrown for as long as he can remember, so villagers took matters into their own hands. One concerned villager cautioned against that:

Voice of: Stanley Smith, Chairman, Lucky Strike
"Everybody came out saying they want a piece of land, so I am the chairman and I will back them up. Mr. Pollard, he figured that Mr. Castro is giving this land, but there is nothing political in this. I am behind the people and I am going down with the people. If we have to go down together, we are going, but we dont move and this will be for us. Until the owner come and say this is for them, then we will do what we have to do, but this is here over 20 years, we are chopping up this and nearly 50 plus of us are here already. We are going forward right now and we are not going backway."

"How much acres are we talking here?"

Voice of: Stanley Smith, Chairman, Lucky Strike
"At least about 20 acres."

Reporter
"How long have you guys been working on it?"

Voice of: Stanley Smith, Chairman, Lucky Strike
"We are here about 5 days now. The community came to me and I will not turn them back and say no. Every piece of land in Lucky Strike, everyone lives on land here that is not for us for many years, also in Rockstone Pond. The people need a piece of land."

Voice of Oscar Pollard, Resident
"What I am saying is that the right thing must happen. I personally spoke to the chairman and tell him yes I am willing to assist him to go through the process to get the land. So with that I came this morning and I see what is happening and I know that it is illegal what they are doing. The thing about it is that I have the community at heart in the sense that if somebody start to do any development here and somebody show up and say I am the owner, that person will lose everything."

Area Representative Edmond Castro says he has nothing to do with the land distribution but he is in support of the villagers.
