And if that cop ever decides on a rapping career, he can put his rumored $100 bonus towards it. We've been reporting on murmurings that all public officers would get a $100 bonus this Christmas but, as we've shown you, president of the PSU, Dean Flowers, and president of the NTUCB, Luke Martinez, both have no idea about it.

And while you may have waved it off as just a rumor, it may not be so farfetched.

Flowers told us yesterday that he was aware of the $1.5 million allocated for public officers and teachers recognition which the prime minister mentioned in his breakdown of the supplementary appropriation bill at the House of Representatives on December 3rd.

But by our calculation, if there are 14,000 public officers, and there's $1.5 million to be allocated, that works out to roughly $100 per person.

And according to the PM in the House, each public officer would be getting an equal amount. Here's how he put it:

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister

"And then you are talking now about the 1.5 million dollars for the public service as if we are certain will get. Let me tell you something, the president of the public service union will get what every other public service member will get. We are going to find a way how we are going to share this so that everybody can get something. So, you will hear shortly how we are going to be able to see how we can give something to our public officers for the Christmas."
