And to add to the avalanche of press releases against the former party leader, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams - whose name may one day appear on a ballot - took the time to provide the press with his opinion on Faber and his shortcomings.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"Our women and children do not deserve to be abused by men. It should not be tolerated and as a society, we have to stand in solidarity with all those victims of domestic violence. It is time for us not to be silent. I watched a video produced by I think Mrs. Bradley Ellis, the wife of Darell Bradley, and she had a very interesting video on social media I was listening to it and in her video, she said it and I fully agree with her that domestic violence is not a private matter. It is a crime and it should be a public matter the reason why I agree is that we cannot have victims of domestic violence suffering in silence when they suffer in silence it is more harmful, it does more harm to them than anything else, and so when it occurs it needs to be known especially when it involves persons of influence because it cannot be that those of us who are of influence would want to save ourselves at the expense of the dignity of the victims. It cannot be. We must always think what the consequences of our actions are going to be before we act and not after because if we think after we beg for them to retract or withdraw to save us and then they remain to be hurt and suffer. It cannot be."
