So, what's next for the UDP? Well, they need a new leader - and the jostling for that spot is expected to play out over the 90 days - the time within which there would have to be an election for party leader.
That is, after Faber submits his resignation.
First there's the race to be leader of the opposition in the parliament and that all hinges on who Hugo Patt supports. Only 3 of the 5 representatives are needed for support and Tracy Teagar is expected to have herself and Faber, while Shyne Barrow is expected to have his aunt Denise Barrow. That two - to two - which makes Patt's support pivotal. Early indications are that he will support Shyne.
As for part leader that will take some time to envelop, but Tracy Taeger - being a two term representative has seniority and more organic relationships within the party than Shyne Barrow. But, we will wait and see. It should be intense.
