At this time, parliamentarians from the House of Representatives are still in the midst of an extended meeting, which started about 8 hours ago at the National Assembly. We'll have full coverage for you on tonight's newscast, but we start with the surprising return of the UDP's Patrick Faber as a member of the House. As viewers are aware, he had been missing from the group of elected area reps for the Opposition UDP.

Faber started keeping a low profile, and ever since his fiancee went to make a police report alleging that he inflicted abuse against her. That then led to the embattled politician being replaced by "Shyne' Barrow as leader of the UDP after the result of a national convention.

Viewers have heard his successor comment on his repeated absence at House Meetings, but he returned for the first time in months today. His presence was immediately noticed, and his fellow parliamentarians welcomed him with a bit of banter. We take you now to that part of today's House Meeting when his Party Leader welcomed him back:

Mose "Shyne" Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Welcome back former leader of the opposition, member from Collet, wonderful to have you here and to the wonderful people in Mesopotamia."

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"Since you're into the welcoming spirit, welcome back to the member from Collet, the former leader. I see he is coming closer to the front, so good move, step by step - baby steps. Been down that road. You've been saying a lot of time you've studied what I have done."

Hon. Patrick Faber, UDP Area Rep., Collet
"Thank you, sir, and thank all of you who have welcome me back. It is good to be back Madam Speaker."
