New Ombudsman Chosen

And another former PUP mayor of Dangriga is in the news tonight. H. Gilbert Swazo will be the new ombudsman - and this is expected t be announced at next week's House Meeting.

The post has been vacant since Lionel Arzu demitted office in April of 2021.

Swazo was most recently the Ports Commissioner - a post which he was was appointed to in late 2020. His ascension now to this conditionally enshrined post will, Swazo says, bring him back to his true calling of service to the public. Swazo is also a former major who served in the BDF for twenty-four years.
