And another PUP promise was to reform campaign financing laws. Again, we're in an election season and there is no legislation to regulate how much money politicians' get and from whom they get it, and what kind of public disclosure they are required to make.

"It is in plan Belize and as a matter of fact the good governance unit has been working to prepare some policy papers on campaign financing doing comparisons of what the laws are in other areas in the Caribbean, around the world also reviewing the paper that was sent by the Belize Chamber of Commerce."
"So hopefully we can get that policy into a cabinet paper and we see some progress on that. On Wednesday next week there is a anti-corruption declaration being released and that is one of the specific points that they want to achieve in this declaration."
