On Monday, former UDP Minister Anthony "Boots" Martinez criticized the Governor General after he claimed she purposely held back his recall petition against Gilroy Usher. The government then issued a release condemning Martinez for his criticisms, saying that it is unlawful for anyone to bring the GG into contempt, disrepute, or disaffection.
Today Minister Kareem Musa - who's not quite a royalist - said that Martinez's comments were unjustified.
Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs

"Very unfair, very unfortunate. That matter is already at the Elections and Boundaries office, I don't know what Mr Boots was expecting but that matter is not being dealt with, their reviewing all these signatures, it's a very time consuming effort on the part of the Elections and Boundaries Office and I'm sure in due course he will see the results of that and so I find his attack is very unjustified, very unfair of the Governor General."
Martinez has since doubled down on his remarks.
