And right about now the UDP could use a political SOE - because the party is going through another cycle of ugly internal warfare.

As we told you two days ago - prominent figures such as Patrick Faber, John Saldivar, Berverly Williams and Edmond Castro have publicly displayed support for Tracy Panton as party leader while others have declared support for Shyne Barrow -including, in a tender moment, Yellowman who Barrow famously fired.

Yes, it's the usual soap opera but today Patrick Faber went from "Rosa Venus" to straight acid in an angry post. Jules Vasquez reports on the days of UDP lives:

Today, two days after he posted "I'm with her" above this image of Tracy Panton - Patrick Faber went one bold step further today with an act of open rebellion:

"I do not support dictatorship and censorship! If I am unable to say how I feel about the party's internal structures, I'll say it here loud and clear!

I don't support the dictator leader of the UDP and he must go!"

Faber took down the post two hours later, but not before it whipped around the internet and WhatsApp circles.

The post comes after a very nasty exchange between Barrow and Faber yesterday in the UDP internal chat groups - messages and accusations about domestic abuse so unsavory we won't even repeat the accusations.

But, to make a long story short, Faber said Shyne Barrow has to go.

Followed by today's post.

But, just making the post puts him afoul of this National Party Council resolution from May of 2023, when he was reinstated as Collett standard bearer - after leading a protest in front of his own party headquarters.

It resolved, "it is required that Hon. Faber strictly adhere to the August 20, 2022 NPC Resolution, attend all Party press conferences, protests and other such public activities that demonstrate Party unity.

Any violation of the NPC Resolution (8/20/23) or any such actions by Hon. Faber or ANY MEMBER of the Party to undermine or injure the Party will result in him being subject to immediate expulsion from the UDP by the NPC."

So now, as the party heads to a national party council meeting next week Saturday, will Faber face expulsion?

We're told he likely will - throwing the UDP into greater internal turmoil and disarray.

But, at the same time, reports say John Saldivar is again gathering signatures to trigger a recall of leader Shyne Barrow - which he also did back in October of 2021 but that failed.

At the time he needed 175 signatures or a third of all delegates and got 201. But the party chairman rejected 52 of the signatures.

The question now is if he can make that submission before next week's national party council meeting.

We'll keep following developments form a safe distance.
