It may have been clickbait and political gamesmanship but a post made yesterday on the UDP's Guardian newspaper's Facebook page stating there was a fight between two PUP Mayoral aspirants picked up a lot of traction. No names were called but only two come to mind: Allan and Eluide. Today we spoke with the latter and he said that the story is completely false:
Eluide Miller, Deputy Mayor of Belize City
"In fact, I was at the gym when the post was made, and my phone started to blow up, and people asking me if I'm okay, and I'm telling them, no, I'm here exercising, right? I was at the council on two occasions yesterday to sign some documents, but in nowhere was there any sort of altercation, any special meeting, anything. It was a regular day at the council. And so it is completely baseless, and again, it's all an effort to bring the council into disrepute."
