And while Miller says he is no "nepo-baby," the UDP candidate for Belize City mayor says she takes the moral high ground.
That's right, tonight we know who the UDP's mayoral candidate is. Jackie Willoughby announced on Alfonso Noble's Plain and Straight this morning that she's put her name in as UDP candidate for mayor. Here's how that brief announcement went:
Jackie Willoughby, UDP Mayoral Candidate
"I have put my name in the race to run for mayor for Belize City for the great United Democratic Party. "
Host:
"You confused me based on how you were talking. "
Jackie Willoughby, UDP Mayoral Candidate
"I believe when you want to go after someone's house make sure your own house is clean. I come with that moral high ground, I want people to hold me accountable.
"I have a fundamental problem with any politician that does not want to be held to account and does not want to answer the people. That's why when the I see the prime minister dodging and refuse to sit down in front of a microphone, the people of Belize should rise and just vote him out."
When we asked Willoughby for an interview, she decline and said she would give one at another time.
