AS told you one week ago, Belize is hosting the Women's under 19 Central American Volleyball Championship. So far, Belize is in second place while Costa Rica is in first. And that's why there's a while lot riding on tonight's outcome in the match against deep rival Guatemala. Currently, Belize has lost one match so far to Costa Rica, while Guatemala and Honduras have each lost 2 matches. But can they beat Guatemala tonight? President of the Volleyball Association, Allan Sharp says the girls are more than ready.
Allan Sharp, President, Belize Volleyball Association
"We are playing tonight against our rival Guatemala. It's a Friday night so as usual whenever we play Guatemala our arch rival it's going to be full. People with horns with flags with everything that we can show that we are Belize ready to play I think our girls are ready."
"So I expect a good crowd tonight and we look forward to a good crowd and we look forward to having the usual hype Belize fans that will make a difference in this match."

"So this tournament is a round robin so it's basically who wins the most matches is the champion and if you have a tie then you go to what is called a sets ratio. So your sets, who has the most sets versus sets loss. Sets won versus sets loss, and if you are still tied then it's points won versus points loss. So right now where we are is that Costa Rica is in first place. They haven't lost a match yet but ourselves, we are now we have only one loss. Nicaragua has two losses and Guatemala has two losses so winning tonight puts us definitely in a strong position for the silver medal depending on what happens with Costa Rica. If Costa Rica can still lose and that would make tomorrow's match a gold medal match for everybody that play's."
The Belize Vs Guatemala Match will commence at 7:30 pm sharp and on the Belize Volleyball Association page on facebook. The association encourages Belizeans to come out and support the team against Guatemala.
