24 basketball teams played dozens of games in 25 weeks of basketball during the William Dawson Sprite Digi Youth Basketball tournament 2023.

The event is part of peace - building effort led by the Belize Police Department to bring together ballers from rival gang communities.

The event culminated on Sunday afternoon at the City Center with Hard Rock Boyz emerged victorious as reaper champions with a total of 26 wins and one loss. They played the Port Loyola Titans in the final.

The winners took home the championship trophy and medals along with $4,000 dollars. For their second place finish, the Titans took home $3,000 dollars, and the trophy hardware.

Organizers say it took "humility, respect, appreciation, purpose, understanding and teamwork, to be consistent for 25 weeks of hard, dedicated and successful teamwork" to make the tournament a success.
