BEL Testing Plant

By the end of the month, Caye Caulker residents will be able to rest a little easier knowing they have sufficient power supply on the island. Â

Load testing of the new high capacity generator will finish by next week Tuesday. The company says that this in addition to seven higher capacity transformers in high demand areas will enable BEL to meet increasing demand brought on by the rapid pace of commercial development on the island.

While the new unit is being tested, islanders may experience intermittent supply fluctuations and outages.
