Last night, we broke the news about Belizean cattle finally being exported into Mexico. Well, the Ministry of Agriculture confirmed this morning that a total of 241 heads of cattle from Blue Creek in Orange Walk was exported to our neighbors to the north.

The Blue Creek cattle was successfully imported into Mexico by the company, SuKarne. The Agriculture Ministry says that this arrangement was successful as a result of a collaboration between them, the Blue Creek Livestock Farmers, the Cattle Export Committee, the Belize Agricultural Health Authority, and the Belize Livestock Producers Association. It's a major trading milestone that has been many, many years, and many cattle sweeps in the making.
