Last night we told you about the horrific murder of Joshua Villas a 28-year-old husband and father who was shot in cold blood by someone he may have known.
And while Villas died instantly, his neighbor 21-year-old Anthony Tzul who was also shot was critical but stable. Now, he too has succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
We got an update on the case this evening from The Commissioner of Police who told us that Tzul's death is a major setback in the investigation as authorities had hoped that he would be able to identify the shooter.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"In respect to the double murder in San Ignacio, because I would think that by now you have been appraised of the second shooting victim in San Ignacio had passed away. So that is now a double murder. The major crime team has been busy in the San Ignacio area searching for clues and answers in terms of what may have

gone wrong. From what we have seen at this time it may have some drug implications. We were hoping that the second victim would have survive and he would have been able to tell us who the person or persons were that did it, but he had succumb and so we would have to look elsewhere with a view to see if we will be able to gather evidence to tell us who may be responsible for that particular crime. The investigation continues in relation to that matter."
