Last month, we told you about how the City Council had softened its stance on parking for vendors at Digi park.

No longer did they have to pay to park at their place of business, but instead they were given designated free parking spaces for their use along with discounted and short-stay parking for use by their customers.

We asked the mayor about the changes and the response he's gotten for the vendors.

Bernard Wagner, Mayor, Belize City
"I visited the parking area and contrary to what was being said the people were happy, they support the parking meters but we did some adjustments for them the they as vendors in the mark don't have to pay for parking there. So, we facilitated like six spaces for them, for all the vendors that have vehicles in the park and we also ensured that if there is a drop off pick up there is no charge. So that. Means that person could drive by the park pick up his or her food and then leave and we don't have that issue there anymore."
