In March of last year, the Registrar of Credit Unions appointed an Administrator to take over operations of the Saint Francis Xavier Credit Union. That administrator ejected the elected Board of Directors and suspended the General Manager, Raphael Dominguez. Dominguez continued to collect his usual salary during his suspension.
Well, that's over now. The Registrar of Credit Unions - who is the governor of the Central Bank - has directed the Administrator to, quote, "remove Dominguez Sr. as an officer of the credit union. Mr. Dominguez Sr. has been so removed from his position as the General Manager of SFXCU. Consequently, the members of SFXCU and the general public are hereby advised that Mr. Rafael Dominguez Sr. is no longer authorized to act on behalf of SFXCU." End quote.
That notice was sent out today - but in a phone interview with CTV-3 - Dominguez says that the details of his final payment do not reconcile with his calculation of what he should be paid:

"On the 15th of May which was yesterday I received a letter from administrator Marlowe Neal and in his capacity with directives from the registrar, ended my employment. I was also sent another letter detailing how much the credit union is supposed to pay me."
"No Veo razones por lo cual o de donde tomar esa decision el registrador para sacarme nada mas me indica. Que es que le pasado lo que yo escribi aparentemente no le y respuesta y entonces el recibio a sacarme del credit union."
"There were no reasons given as to why that decision was made or why the registrar removed me, nothing else was indicated. What happened was after I wrote him, and did not get a response, he had already agreed to take me out of the credit union."

As we understand it, the Registrar's position is that Dominguez's contract was not terminated, It was simply 'frustrated' as a result of the removal order.
