They deliberated for 5 hours and 8 minutes but when a jury returned at 8:10 pm on Friday night, there was no verdict for accused murderer Jamie Dawson. The jury told Judge Troadio Gonzalez they could not reach a verdict and he declared a hung jury. The jury was excused and Dawson was returned to the Hattieville Prison.

Dawson is accused of the 2002 murder of Maurice Neal inside Bismark nightclub. Dawson was convicted in 2004 but the court of appeal ordered a new trial. Dawson is back in jail and the decision on whether to retry him will made by the DPP's office.
