There were four other shooting on the weekend. On Friday night 17 year old Alan Estell was shot in the mouth. At about 9:30, the teenager was standing on Banak Street with another friend when a pickup truck pulled up, the glass came down, and the passenger pulled out a handgun. He pulled the trigger but the gun clicked, and when he pulled it again, Estell was in mid holler, and the bullet went right into his mouth badly damaging his jaw. Still, he survived and is recovering at the KHMH. Police have made no arrests.
One hour later, 29 year old Aston and 23-year-old Lincoln Lewis were out at a bar on Church Street when the brothers got into a fight. During their struggle a gun went off and Aston Lewis was shot in the right foot. No one knows who fired the shots, but Lincoln Lewis who is a police constable has been detained.
Another man was shot in the leg. This happened last night and the victim is 20-year-old Deon Williams.
Deon Williams, Shooting Victim
“The young who passed me, when they were rolling past me were already digging down for the gun in his pocket when I saw him pull out a black firearm and I just heard one shot. When I looked I just saw a person in full blue. I don’t really know who shot me. I didn’t see. I just saw someone in full blue.
I think dah kill the man wanted to kill me because when I looked at him he aimed the gun right at me but then I don’t really know why he wanted to do that. But then I don’t really have any problems with them or anything. I didn’t really see who shot me.”
Jules Vasquez,
Do you feel fortunate?
Deon Williams,
“Well I don’t really feel no way. I just want the young man who knows who shot me and thing, he already knows what he did already. I don’t really have time to retaliate or nothing on that. I will just left it right so.”
