Sr. Supt. James Magdaleno, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“At about 12:25 pm on the 26th San Ignacio police visited the Santa Rosa in the Calla Creek Area of the Cayo District. About 20 feet in the bushes they observed what appeared to be human bones scattered. The person was dressed in a long blue jeans pants and a dark sleeveless undershirt, white and blue Nike tennis, and a grey boxer shorts. That remains, the skull portion, appears to be a bullet hole to the back of the head.”

Lorraine Guzman, Mother of Deceased
“I last saw him two weeks ago Saturday. I don’t quite remember the date but Saturday made two weeks that he was missing and I reported it to

the police like Tuesday. He is a young person and when Tuesday came and he didn’t come home we reported it and until today when they went to get me to identify the body. I up to now, only by the tennis shoe, but I more than sure it is him.

He had told us previous to being murdered that he was being followed by persons and the police have that. He was being followed like on three or four different occasions and we didn’t report it prior but then I told the police so they are going to pickup back the last person he was seen with which we think he knows and he is not talking.”

Jacqueline Godwin,
Did Pedro say why he believe he was being followed?

Lorraine Guzman,
“Because the guy he was in prison with was shot in the foot or in the leg and I believe he probably thought it was him. Even the police in Cayo told me it was somebody from Belize that went to kill this person and when he went to visit the guy in the hospital, he came outside and told me everybody for them ownself. I asked him if they think he did it because he used to have quarrels in jail, and so several times they trailed him. He had to run through bushes and by the time he got near the house, which I didn’t know, he told me and his sister that they were following him and he told us who.”
