And while Cayo Police have identified those remains, Orange Walk investigators still don’t know the identity of remains discovered on a feeder road about a mile and half southwest of Trinidad Village in the Orange Walk District. The body which was found in a cane field on Saturday morning was in an advanced state of decomposition. The remains are of a male who wore a navy blue three quarter Dickies trousers with a khaki sport shirt and a pair of Air Jordan tennis shoes.
The left hand was also bound with a string and the skull had what appeared to be a gun shot wound. Initially police believed it was 18 year old’s Alden Hall’s body. He has been missing and feared dead since February ninth, 2008. But that has been disproven and police are now combing through their missing person file to see if any reports match the description of the body found. Magdaleno explained.
Sr. Supt. James Magdaleno,
“In the Trinidad Area, Trinidad Village proper, in the Orange Walk District, those remains that were found there have not been identified at this time. Again, the post mortem will be performed and the media will be updated when the post mortem is concluded. I called Orange Walk and it has been confirmed that it is not Alden Hall.”
