Murder cases against four more accused killers fell apart today in the Supreme Court 20 year old Bernard "Dragon" Williams, 19 year old Austin "Colombia" Mungia, and 26 Luis Lalin walked out of the Supreme Court

as free men after nearly 2 years and a half on remand at the Hattieville Prison. They were remanded in jail for the horrible July 26th 2005 murder in San Pedro of Fido's security guard Francis Antonio Almendarez. He was tied up and strangled and more than $18,000 was stolen.

The case collapsed when the main witness against the trio became the main suspect. 20 year old Shandoy Jeffords who originally told police he wasn't even in San Pedro on the night of the murder – confessed in August of 2005. He told police that he was there the night of the murder and allegedly saw Almendarez struggling with Mungia, Lalin, and Williams. He claims Mungia beat Almendarez in the head with a crow bar and that's what killed him.

The defendants were never told about Jeffords confession. Add that to inconsistencies in his testimony, such as the cause of death which Jeffords claims was a blow to the head when a post mortem revealed it was strangulation, this morning Crown Counsel Nadine Palacio entered a nolle pros motion.

It is unclear if police will charge Shandoy Jeffords for his now confessed participation.
