And in another collapsed case.....after 18 months in jail for a murder he swore he didn’t commit – 21 year old Denvo Banner also walked free today. He was accused of gunning down Demsley Arnold on February 16th 2007. Arnold was standing at the corner of Vernon Street and Magazine Road when a gunman dressed in a red hood opened fire. He was killed on the spot. Police set chase after a gunman dressed in a red hooded shirt which led them to Banner.

And though he was picked out in an ID parade, no gun powder was found on his hooded jacket. As for the eyewitness, she was a minor and believed to be unreliable as a witness.

Though the cases against all four accused killers have been withdrawn with “nolle pros” motions, all the accused can still be rearrested.
