George Street’s Shelton ‘Pinky’ Tillet and Micah Thompson may not make it home for Christmas. That is because they were busted on Friday with unlicensed ammunition and a ski mask. Police were on patrol Friday afternoon on Raccoon Street when they say they observed “Pinky” and Micah Thompson in a grey SUV acting suspiciously. Police pulled the vehicle over and a search led to a ski mask and 15 live rounds of.45 ammunition.

No gun was found but the illegal ammunition was enough for police to lock down the pair. This morning they were taken to court for keeping prohibited ammunition. But Pinky’s arraignment was delayed because he told Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie that his name is actually Shelton August and not Shelton Tillet. That was cleared up by 2 pm and so now for the record – it is Shelton August. He along with Micah Thompson were denied bail and remanded to prison until January 5th.

An interesting piece of history is that in October of 2004 - Shelton “Pinky” August and Micah Thompson and Brian Herrera were busted with Halloween masks, a loaded AK47 assault rifle, a loaded 9-milimeter gun, and a loaded tec-9 submachine gun in addition to two black hoods, a warm cap, and four white rubber gloves. Police say "Pinky" was also wearing a bulletproof vest. They were charged for preparing to commit robbery but a jury acquitted them in March of 2006.
