Senior Crown Counsel Shanice Lovell has closed her case against 57-year-old Manuel Pacheco, who is on trial for the 2018 murder of 50-year-old Jose Villanueva.
As we told you, the prosecution’s main witnesses has testified against Villanueva saying that she saw when he shot and killed Villanueva on June 14th, 2018. Villanueva and Pacheco were neighbours and were arguing over Villaneuva’s barking dog.
The witness said that she heard the men engaging in hard talks, and saw Pacheco pull out an object resembling a firearm. Pacheco pointed it at Villanueva, pulled the trigger, and the witness heard the sound of 3 gunshots going off. Villanueva passed away due to gunshot injuries.
Now that the prosecution has closed its case, Pacheco’s attorney, Ellis Arnold, will begin presenting his defence tomorrow.
