Man Accused of Molesting Child

And in another case of hideous alleged child abuse, an 8 year old girl was allegedly molested by a 21 year old man.

That man, Marvin Arteaga has been remanded to prison after he was denied bail in Belize City Magistrate's court.

The little girl told relatives that twice in November, Arteaga touched her inappropriately.

In court, Arteaga pleaded not guilty to both charges but the police Prosecutor objected to bail being because of the tender age of the victim and the possibility that Arteaga may interfere with her.

Arteaga was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until February 1, 2021.
