26-Year old Danilo de la Rosa was forced to run for his life last night after he was shot at during an altercation with acquaintances in Benque Viejo.
It's an incident that prompted a response from police, one that resulted in an exchange of gunfire and ended with a gunshot wound for a Police Corporal. ACP Myvette told us more during this morning's press brief.

"Last night shortly after 9:30 p.m. Elizabeth Barrera visited the Benque Viejo police station and reported that her son Danilo de la Rosa 26 years of a Benque Viejo address arrived home with a gunshot injury to the leg area and as a result, she transported him to the San Ignacio community hospital and thereafter she proceeded to Benque Viejo police station to make a report. She reported that her son was socializing at a residence on Kennedy street in Benque Viejo town when he got into an altercation with one of those persons whom he was socializing with who took out a firearm and fired several shots at him. He then ran from the area and that is when he realized that he was shot. after this report was made to police, police then ln search of those people also in the area of Kennedy street, and shortly after 12a.m. this morning when the police did visit the residence they came under fire and returned fire, and that is when PC Felton Williams who was a part of the team visiting the residence realized that he did receive a gunshot injury to the right upper leg. He has since been treated and released from the hospital. Police have five persons detained so far as a part of this investigation and are seeking two others who after the shooting fled the scene."
