The death of an infant is also being investigated by police. Meanwhile, the child's family is coming to terms with what could have caused their healthy baby to die suddenly.
17-year-old Sandra Paw found the body of her 2-month-old this morning, around 2. She had woken up to breastfeed the child when she noticed her daughter was not responding.
The family is now suspecting that her recent vaccination may have played a part in her death. Our colleagues at CTV3 spoke with the father today and he recounted what happened.

"Like I told you, we took the baby to the clinic to get her vaccine. The baby looked fine and happy before we went to the clinic. Afterwards she was sad, on Friday. From that day, she started out with fever. In the morning, she died."
"I think it is the vaccine because before she got the vaccine, she was alright and before that. Yeah, I think it was the vaccine."
"The baby was two months and five days. Before the vaccine, she was alright and happy and she got sad afterwards. She was my first baby girl."
"I thought it was a small thing and I was monitoring her but before I woke up, the baby was already dead. And it was hard for me to get her to the hospital because we have no transportation and it was too late already."
The baby's body now awaits a postmortem, but her medical form noted that there were bruises on her back.
