Woman Shot In City

In more crime news, a woman was shot in her arm on Friday while inside a yard on New Road. While there were several people with her, she was the only one injured. Still, police are uncertain at this time if she was the target. Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero explained the details.

"Police responded to a shooting incident on New Road, Belize City, where Christine McKenzie reported that she was in a yard with other persons when she heard a single gunshot and as a result she received a single gunshot injury on the right arm. She was taken to the KHMH where she received treatment and is in a stable condition. We do not have any motive at this time."
