And going form Stann Creek to Toledo - where a mother of 3 has been charged for murder.
On Monday we told you about the killing in the southern Adjacency Zone within the village of Jalacte. It happened at a bar named "Salessipuedes" where 30-year-old, Evangelina Rosalina Ack was in a physical fight with her common law husband, Kent Chun.
That's when a Guatemalan man, 36 year old Justo Ubeny Agustin Martinez tried to intervene. But, Ack allegedly stabbed him in the thwart with a broken Corona beer pint.
Ubeny Agustin Martinez was rushed across the border to a medical facility in Guatemala where he died. Evangelina Ack has since been charged for murder.
But - because there is no magistrate in PG - she had to be taken to the Belmopan Magistrate Court before Magistrate End Usher to be arraigned on a single charge of murder.
The charge was read to Ack in the presence of her attorney, Dickie Bradley.
Bradley told us that Ack was allegedly being beaten by her common-law husband when the deceased, Martinez allegedly joined in and began to beat her as well.
He claims his client panicked, pulled a pint and stabbed Martinez to the shoulder area where he bled to death.
Bradley said the mother of 3 is still nursing her youngest child.
Still, she has been placed on remand and her next court date is set for October 20, 2021.
