And after another weekend accident, police are seeking the public's help to identify the victim.
Today they told us that he was so badly disfigured by the injuries sustained that they may only be able identified him by the tattoos on his back. Here's more from ASP Fitzroy Yearwood.
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"I know that we still have positively identified that person, the male person that was found on the second of July. That person received severe head and body injuries and we have sent out a flier of the tattoos that were seen on his body hoping that we could identify him. Someone came forward and claimed to have known that person but after seeing the identification card that was presented to our investigators. The person on the ground is of hispanic descent and fair complexion and the I.D. card that was presented to our officers is that of a person with my complexion, dark complexion. So, we are still asking the general public's assistance to try and identify John Doe, we have listed him as John Doe at the southern regional hospital. And we are hoping that if you out there haven't seen your relative since the 2nd of july you would come forward and try to identify this person."
"The injuries disfigured his face so we are relying on tattoos that one of his relatives or maybe a common-law would be able to identify his tattoos and assist us in trying to identify that person."
