And, around the same time that Banks was killed another man, 43-year-old Kenrick Anthony Walton was shot just one street away.
It was so close that Bank's friends and family heard the shots go off.
Here's what Bank's friend told us about the second flash of violence.
Voice of: Eye Witness
"We were there on the site and all we heard was pow, pow, pow and it was like unbelievable because the police and everybody was there, so it was a little ways beside that. I don't know anything about it, I can't say anything. I don't even know if its related or anything."
Walton was transported to the KHMH with a gunshot wound to the body and he remains in a stable condition.
We note that with the murder and shooting coming in quick succession, as well as a weekend shooting - a gang mediation meeting was held this evening in Belize City between members of the major gangs form the Martins area.
Reports say one gang leader never made it to the meeting because he suffered a seizure while in police custody and was transported to the KHMH for medical attention.
