We now turn back briefly to this weekend's stabbing death of 38-year-old Ronald Lloyd Gill.

Police say that sometime before 1 p.m. on Saturday, he was near Edna's Fast Food establishment, located on George Price Drive in Dangriga. He reportedly ended up in an argument with a man who was identified to the investigators. The dispute escalated to the point where that man pulled out a knife and stabbed Gill 8 times in a broad daylight scuffle, which was observed by multiple bystanders in the general area.

Our news team went seeking comments from his family members, but they declined an interview. They directed us instead to Edna Broaster, the owner of Edna's Fast Food. She is also one of the eyewitnesses who watched the street-side brawl play out in its entirety between Ronald Gill and his attacker.

She says that Saturday's fatal stabbing was the first time she in such close proximity to a violent crime in progress:

Edna Broaster, Eyewitness

"From the time they start an argument I call police, they didn't come. The boys went and came back with a knife. I yelled at him and I said "Pungaz" and he started to stab him in his back. He gave him 8 stabs in the back and he fell. He turns over and he started to stab him in his chest. I called the police when the argument started, I called them 4 times. The last call I gave them I told them the man is dead. Like half an hour later the police came. The town board came and I ask them to take the body to the hospital. After they took the body about 20 minutes later the police came."

"Was the victim harassing any of your customers as was reported to the police?"

Edna Broaster, Eyewitness
"No, he doesn't harassed anybody. He is a nice somebody. Sometimes he doesn't have money, and he when he wants to drink I would give him $10 to buy reveal. I always give him that because he was one of my customers, so when he comes and beg for anything, I would give him."

Reporter
"From what you heard of the argument was it serious enough that a murder should have resulted from it, ma'am?"

Edna Broaster, Eyewitness
"No. when happened, all day it bothers me. Night come and I can't sleep. Sunday morning, it still bothers me. Today it is not bothering me like that again, because it's the first time I see something like that."
