Tomorrow, all eyes will be on the Dangriga Supreme Court, for the manslaughter trial of police Corporal Kareem Martinez, the lawman who shot and killed Laddie Gillett in Placencia in July of 2021.
The presiding judge Antonnette Moore, in anticipation of the scrutiny, has set out very clear ground rules for presences in the courtroom. She has ordered that only 5 family members from each side will be allowed in court. If fewer than that 5 appear for the accused then the spaces can be taken up by the victim's family. She's also said that limited media will be allowed to witness the proceedings.
