And turning back now to the city of Belmopan, a new police sub-station was opened today in the Maya Mopan area.
And if the neighbourhood's name sounds familiar it's because the entire country became aware of its location after the deaths of the Ramnaraces who were resident there.
The hope shared by the area rep and the heads of the Home Affairs Office is that this new sub-station and the two officers posted there will prevent another similar occurrence from taking place in what was once thought of as a peaceful part of Belmopan.

And COMPOL Chester Williams has guaranteed not only that the sub-station will be manned 24-7 but that it is equipped with a vehicle so that the officers posted here can make regular rounds throughout the entire area.
