In August of 2021, 38 year old Shane Bradley fatally stabbed his friend - leaving 24 year old Edward Westby's wife without a husband and their two year old child without a father.
Back in June, right at the start of the trial, Bradley pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter. In his sentencing today, Justice Derick Sylvester noted that when he handed down his sentence of 20 years. He made deductions for an early guilty plea and time spent on remand, which left Bradley with 9 years and 9 months left to serve behind bars!
Westby's wife was inside the courtroom and left saying it was just too much for her.
Bradley was represented by Attorney Leeroy Banner.
