And while those are the formal challenges - we also asked Martinez what he plans to do as a board member of the University of Belize.
The Chairman of the Board of Governors Godfrey Smith has indicated that the University would be willing to consider relocating the hospital on the vast 800 acres it has available.
Martinez says, they need to do it now:

"I spoke with the chairman earlier this week and he said if MOHW ask UB for a different area within its 800 acres, it is a matter I would readily take to the board. Being a board member yourself, what do you think would be the reaction to that?"

"Jules, I don't know why the board have to wait for Ministry of Health to bring such proposal. The Ministry of Health is not going to bring such a proposal. The board needs to tell Ministry of Health that look, we are going to make this available and here is where we're going to make it available."
