The Next Miss Gwen Liz

A new Miss Gwen Lizarraga High School will be chosen this weekend. Eight students between the ages of 14 and 17 will compete for the crown. And though it is a beauty pageant, it will be more about showcasing talent and raising much needed funds for Gwen Liz. The show is Saturday night and we caught up with contestants at rehearsals this afternoon.

"The pageant is really to fundraise. We need moneys to run the school and so it is a fundraising endeavor and we have these beautiful eight young ladies that are helping the school with our fundraiser in this pageant."

Showtime on Saturday is 7 pm at the City Center.
