We've been following the story of the raffle that never was - as we told you, the Lion's Sub Umbra Floreo Club advertised a truck raffle that never actually happened. Reports are that they couldn't meet the threshold and as such, they cancelled the raffle and plan to reimburse the funds. And if you were one of the 513 people who bought their $100 ticket, the club has announced that the reimbursement will happen on April 7th. According to a press release, those who are requesting cash reimbursement can pick it up at the Civic Center ticket booth between 10:00 in the morning and 4:30 in the evening. The release also states that authorized representatives of the club will be reaching out directly to ticket holders to confirm their preferred method of reimbursement.
However, this story is far from over, as we have been told by other club executives that the picture painted by the press releases and the president of the club may not be what actually happened. As we have reported, in the background of this raffle is a police report filed against the president as well as discord within the club. We will keep following this story.
