Earlier in the week, we told you about the two days of robberies that saw 11, relatively new, DELL computers stolen from Orange Walk's San Francisco R.C. school. It was a huge setback to the school's distance learning plan with the computers being the essential means by which teachers send out materials and communicate with their students.
Principal Percival Gideon pleaded with the community to report any suspicious activity concerning computers or computer parts.
Tonight, it seems those pleas have paid off with the return of 10 of the 11 stolen computers having been recovered from the residence of a home on Monkey River Street in the town. No charges have been announced yet.
Looks like a happy ending for the school and an extra push for students to focus on distance learning as they prepare to return to the classroom.
