COVID Numbers Trending Down

The number of new daily COVID cases have been trending consistently downwards this week and tonight there are only 693 cases to report - a relatively low number compared to recent weeks. The Cayo District reported 207, while Belize reported 152 and Corozal 106. The 908 new recoveries have taken the active cases down to 9,130.

There are 22 patients hospitalized - 10 unvaxxed, four partially vaxxed, five fully vaxxed, and three not announced. 6 patients are in the ICU and one unvaxxed patient, a female from Cayo, passed away from the virus. This takes the death toll up to 625. The daily positivity rate is at 25.2%.
